The recital is presented by three of the most promising youth musicians in South Africa: Qden Blaauw, Jordan Brooks and Gerhard Joubert
Qden Blaauw (15) started playing the piano at the age of eight and showed an interest in classical music from an early age. Under the guidance of Shane Goodall, he has won many awards over the past few years. In 2016, he was a first prize winner of the Great Composers International Competition. Jordan Brooks (15), a grade 10 learner at Westerford High School, started violin lessons at the age of seven at the Beau Soleil Music Centre under the tuition of Anne-Marié Swanepoel. Since the age of 11 he has performed as a soloist with various orchestras on a regular basis: the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra on numerous occasions, the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, the Hugo Lambrechts Symphony Orchestra (four times), as well as numerous performances with the Beau Soleil Strings.

Gerhard Joubert (17) is a student of Francois du Toit. He was a member of the Drakensberg Boys Choir from 2011 to 2014, where he won numerous academic and music prizes and travelled the world as a soprano soloist. In March 2018 he won the silver medal in the National Hennie Joubert Piano Competition in Stellenbosch, as well as the two special prizes for Best Performance in the third round and the Joan de Villiers Prize for the best Classical Sonata.
