Strauss & Co launched the momentous Catalogue Raisonné of the sculptures of foremost South African artists, Sydney Kumalo and Ezrom Legae in mid-2023. A retrospective exhibition accompanied the launch, mounted at our premises at 89 Central Street, Houghton Estates, and augmented by an extensive educational programme.
The significance of the Catalogue Raisonné for students, researchers and historians will be discussed in the talk, together with a reflection on curating the exhibition and the importance of the educational programme that accompanied the show.
