The Canvas unfolds:
Imagine stepping into a world where vineyards meet artistry. Our wine tasting event is more than sips; it’s a symphony of flavors, a palette of sensations.
Picture yourself surrounded by contemporary masterpieces – their colours echoing the wines you’ll soon savour.
The Grape’s Tale:
More than 3 centuries ago, Welgemeend cultivated grapes for the purpose of making wine, which was then supplied to the vessels enroute around the Cape of Good Hope.
It is only fitting that for 2024’s Welgemeend Wine Festival, we have asked some of our esteemed South African Wine estates to each curated a tasting selection of note:
Sample bold reds, crisp whites and perhaps a hidden gem – the taste of South Africa in every glass.
[Wine estates present include: Jakob’s Vineyard, Paul Cluver Family Wines, Saronsberg, Vanloveren, Allesverloren, Zorgvliet and more.]
Sip, Savour and Share:
Engage with fellow enthusiasts, clink glasses, and let conversation flow like a well-aged Cabernet. Whether you’re a seasoned oenophile or a curious novice, this soirée promises discoveries and delights.
In the heart of Cape Town, where grapes become poetry and glasses hold dreams, we invite you to raise your glass and celebrate life’s finer moments.
Olive Oil Intrigue:
De Queekvalleij Olijven Boerderij adds a twist. Their small-batch olive oil – golden elixir – will dance on your palate.
It’s more than a taste; it’s a sensory journey.
You will be able to place orders for all wines and the olive oil during this event.
