Art appreciation is a joy and enriches lives. Context and information about a particular painting or about the artist make it easier to enjoy and understand the work. But what to do when there is no outside information about the work, or, even more challenging, when the work is of an abstract nature with no clear reference to material reality? Lizelle and Amanda will share some ideas and stories from their own personal experience on how to get real satisfaction from looking at a painting, even when the subject matter does not seem instantly appealing.
